FREE ICE SKATING @ FENWAY PARK

Calling all ice skaters -- Growing up in NYC I always loved at least once a year taking a trip to Central Park, Wollman's Rink, and go ice skating outside.

While skating around you could look up and see yourself surrounded in a distance by skyscraper office buildings, luxury hotels and coop apartment buildings.  Of course for those that could afford it outdoor ice skating at Rockefeller Center was like being on display in a window at Saks 5th Avenue.

I know I'm probably dating myself, but rent the original Home Alone Movie and you'll see a little about what I'm referring too.

Now living in New England and the beautiful Berkshire Mountains of Western Massachusetts, there are many natural lakes frozen over and if the ice has been prepared you just step out and start skating.

The Boston Bruins of the NHL are getting set for an annual event of playing a game @ Fenway Park on New Years Day.  Only this year they will keep the rink setup for 2 more weekends in January.

Space is limited and only 3000 free passes will be given out.  Here is the link for more details FREE ICE SKATING @ FENWAY PARK.

I can imagine that being able to ice skate on the same field as the Red Sox play on has got to be one of the highlights of the winter of 2010.  And if you do make it please send us some pictures and we'll post them to the Blog.
